Our company currently manages and maintains over 200 websites and Dreamweaver
is our HTML editor of choice. The biggest flaw I have found is the apparant
inability to centralise site details.
For example, we use FlashFXP for our FTP needs as it allows us to save one
settings file on our local server, which all the computers in the office
access. This means that we only need to add FTP details once and everyone is
then able to use them. With dreamweaver, each of our developers has to add a
new site even if 5 other people have already done the same. This causes
mismatches in the setup and settings and is also a huge timewaster as our
setting requirements are quite specific.
Is there a way to centralise these details so that all employees have the same
list of sites?
It's a good suggestion. Please make it to the dev team -
