I have been asked to teach Photoshop in a corporate environment to approx.
25 employees.
Can someone give me an idea how much I should charge to give these lessons?
I hold an Adobe ACE certification in Photoshop CS and CS2 and am currently
learning CS3. The company where I would be giving lessons has Photoshop CS installed on the employees' computers.
They are asking that I give beginning to early intermediate lessons to the employees. Most of the employees have no idea of what Photoshop does or its capabilites. They just know its on their computers and they want to learn how to use it for various photo correction issues and things like resizing for web use, Flash, and powerpoint usage.
If someone has experience on this issue I could sure use some guidance.
Thank you

Our local college pays 17.50 ($35.00) per hour for evening class tutoring in Photoshop / Elements. The class sizes vary, but 25 is quite a lot to keep an eye on.

Also, community colleges pay peanuts. If you were a business asking to hire a teacher for a course, they would charge $100 an hour (but only pay the teacher $35.)
I wouldn't touch anything less than $50 an hour, and would really try to get to $100. Realize that you need to spend at least three hours preparing for every hour you teach (the first time you offer the course) if you want to do a good job.

How much do others in the area charge for similar services?

I can't find anyone else in this area who offers this kind of instruction at a corporate level.
I should point out that the company requesting the instruction does have a computer training room set up for 10 people and I would be using their facilities.
There is one guy locally who charges $40 for individual one hour lessons, and one photolab who charges $75 and hour (but I was told by an employee they charged a high amount because they wanted to dicourage people from asking them photoshop questions about their orders).
Thanks for your help.
