I am a newbie to Adobe products. I am from a developer background and recently got a query from one of my customer to have a functionality like the Word Mail Merge functionality with the Photoshop templates and data from an Excel file. Before diving into details wanted to get the thoughts from the Experts? Is is possible to get such functionality in Photoshop? Is there an addin or 3rd party tools which can achieve such a functionaltiy? Can this be done using just the scripting available in CS2/CS3. Any help is deeply appreciated.

Useful? I can't imagine how it could be when this functionality already
exists in InDesign.
