In CS3 Photoshop, File > Import...the SilverFast scanning software does not show up as it did in PS CS2. I have custom profiles and need to access this software for scanning. Need advice here...thank you.

Go to the import/export folder in CS2 and copy the silverfast entries there and paste them into the import/export folder in CS3. You should now be able to see silverfast entries in CS3. Be sure to have both CS2 and CS3 not running when you make the copy and paste.
