We have a bunch of psd files that are saved as jpgs then used as
backgrounds to our Windows app pages. The psd files include "Text
fields" - like headings, etc.

We are converting these to other languages. This means changing the
text in the text fields for each language.

We can do this manually in PhotoShop, but it is a slow process.

It seems it would speed things up, and provide other benefits, if
there were a program that would read the psd file, recognize the text
fields, extract the actual text, then allow you to edit the text and
it would reinsert this into the text field.

Does anyone know of a program like this?
I guess it might be called a raw psd file edior.
A program like this could provide all sorts of benefits to PhotoShop
users.
